Not Only are Real Americans Celebrating a Biden-Harris Victory, the World is Rejoicing
For four years Donald Trump accomplished one thing: the people in our nation and around the world who despise him have greatly increased in number. So it is no surprise that when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were declared the winners of Tuesday’s election, celebrations erupted across America and around the world.
My wife and I did not celebrate; we simply sighed in relief. Our country could not have survived four more years of the worst president in history. After 74 years as a patriot, and watching 12 presidents, I had never witnessed a more unfit man to lead our nation.
On Saturday Morning the major news networks announced that the percentage of votes recorded in Pennsylvania guaranteed a victory for Biden. Almost immediately peaceful, and joyful celebrations began in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Portland, and Trump’s home town of New York. The similarity between every celebration included joy over Biden’s victory, and also statements celebrating Trump’s loss. No one will be sorry to see him leave the White House other than his cult who are white supremacists, and, like their leader, white trash who hate America.
However, it wasn’t America alone who celebrated the end of right-wing tyranny in Washington. There were celebrations across western Europe. Large crowds filled the streets in London and Paris, among others.
Everything about Trump’s illegitimate and failed presidency inspired people around the world to not only reject Trump’s policies, but question what had happened to this once respected nation. Our votes were the answer.
I hope that the men and women who voted for Trump will join those of us who did not and work to heal our nation. I agree with what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris said in Delaware on Saturday evening; “we are all Americans.” And I believe Biden when he said that he will represent all 330 million Americans, unlike Trump who only represented those who supported him. He will be an ‘American President.’
Does anyone remember that four years ago, on January 21, 2017, the biggest protest in history occurred in Washington, and all over the world about Trump's illegitimate presidency? My how times have changed.
