One Thing all Presidents do; Except for Donald Trump

In times of national tragedy, or a national crisis, when American lives are lost, every president in history offered condolences and prayers for the families of the fallen. Trump caused a crisis and more than 292,000 American lives have been lost as of today. His constant claim that “it will just go away” allowed our nation to become the world leader in cases and deaths related to the coronavirus. Survivors are now reporting severe side effects which may affect them for the rest of their lives.

However, not once has he offered his personal thoughts and prayers for the survivors of those who lost loved ones to the pandemic. He is a malignant narcissist and a heartless bastard. He cares about no one other than himself.

Some frightening statistics and facts revealing the depth of Trump's failure to lead in a time of national emergency.

Yesterday, Wednesday, December 9, 2020, the number of American lives lost in a single day surged to 3,054. On the previous worst day in American history, September 11, 2001, the number of lives lost was 2,977.

The Civil War resulted in the deaths of 618,222 Americans. Since that tragic time, the number of lives lost in all of our nation's wars, excluding WWII, is less than the number of lives resulting from the current pandemic.

If the surge in cases continues, the American people will likely experience a loss of life greater than during WWII which is approximately 405,000.

The American people deserve a real president who leads by example and offers reassurance in times of national crisis. We need a man or woman who expresses concern for the fallen, not an obese, old man whose only interest is himself and his reelection. Trump is our nation's national embarrassment. He is a disaster who has used his time in office to increase his personal wealth, while refusing to perform the job for which he was illegitimately elected. He has failed to accomplish one thing for our nation's people in four very long years. The same issues which faced Trump on January 20, 2017 exist today. He has been too busy watching television, golfing, playing at Mar-a-Lago, and holding hate rallies in red states.

Trump claims that the weeks prior to the election and after have been the “hardest days he ever worked in his life.” This speaks volumes. His White House schedule has included nothing but lunches with party members since October 5th.
